The Louisiana Liaison Group, as one of the many liaison groups in the United States, seeks to promote dialogue and open communication between the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Louisiana Human Rights Commission.  As members of the employer/contractor community, we recognize that we can best achieve our purposes of affirmative action and fair employment through an open dialogue with regulatory agencies and networking with our peers.

The New Orleans District Office and the National Office of the OFCCP have taken the lead in providing technical assistance to the contractor community by offering training on issues surrounding compliance with Executive Order 11246.  Regularly scheduled quarterly meetings are held in various locations throughout the state to allow smaller contractors the opportunity to participate in dialogue with the staff of the OFCCP and their Human Resources peers.

GOALS

To provide a forum for exchanging information, ideas, education and updates in the areas of affirmative action, equal employment opportunity and diversity.

To offer tuition assistance to a student(s) attending a Louisiana college or university.    A scholarship committee works with community schools to select a student(s) who will benefit most from LLG's assistance. Being a nonprofit organization, LLG is able to provide a scholarship(s) through funds raised by membership dues, meeting fees and company sponsorships.

To increase membership in Louisiana Liaison Group.  Each of LLG's members have been challenged to "bring a guest" to a meeting.
